Which VPN Provider Should You Choose?

NordVPN Quick-Start Guide
- First, visit NordVPN.
- Click on the ‘Get NordVPN’ button at the top right of the page.
- Look over the packages offered, and select the one that best meets your needs. You can choose from a range of subscription lengths.
- Complete your order. You will need to create an account.
- After entering your payment details and creating an account, you will be shown a link to download the NordVPN application. Download this, then run it to install NordVPN.
- Launch the NordVPN application, and sign in.
- If you just want to connect to the closest available server, you can simply click the blue ‘Secure my connection’ button.
- If you want to connect to a server in a different state/province, or a different country, look at the bottom of the app and you will see ‘Countries’ – under this heading, there is a list of Countries to choose from.
- If NordVPN has multiple servers within that country, you will see “…” to the right of the country name. Click the “…” to then pick a server located in a specific city.
- Note: Websites and other services you connect to while using NordVPN will perceive your location to be the location of the VPN server you are connected to.
- When you are done, and want to disconnect from the VPN, the button that says “pause” near the top of the app. From the drop-down that appears, choose ‘disconnect.’
